Microsoft Surface Pro price and release date revealed
Windows 8
The Microsoft Surface Pro's release date and price have been leaked. The Windows 8 Pro tablet will arrive in the US in January next year priced from $899.
The Surface RT was released in October but the Pro is the more powerful sibling featuring a Full HD display and running the Pro version of Windows 8 instead of Windows RT, currently supported by the Surface RT model.
The release date and pricing was unveiled on Microsoft's blog by Panos Panay who simply stated that the 64GB and 128GB versions would be available in early next year without specifying if this was worldwide or US only.
Microsoft Surface Pro specs:
The 1080p Full HD resolution 10.6-inch display comes with Gorilla Glass 2. With an Intel Core i5 processor, the Surface Pro hosts full size USB 3.0 connectivity and offers storage capacity options of 64GB or 128GB.
The Pro tablet will be supported by Windows 8 allowing the device to run all legacy Windows apps that a full laptop and desktop have access to.

All these specs are contained in a 64GB model priced at $899 or a 128GB for $999. While you will get a touch pen included you will have to fork out on the Touch Cover or Type Cover.

No date has been confirmed for the UK yet but with the release date for the US set for January next year, the UK release should be soon to follow.
