Microsoft and Sony confirm E3 2012 press conference plans
Microsoft Xbox turns 10
With rumours rife in recent months around potential Xbox 720 and PS4 release announcements, gaming greats Microsoft and Sony have officially dated their respective press conferences for this year’s E3 2012 expo.
Set to duke it out for the limelight on the same day, Microsoft has confirmed that it will kick off the Los Angeles based show on Monday June 4th with a 10am Pacific Standard Time (6pm GMT) conference whilst Sony is to follow taking to the stage at 6pm local time, 2am in the UK.
Whilst both companies in recent weeks have flatly refuted they will take the opportunity of E3 2012 to showcase next-generation consoles, it is expected that both Sony and Microsoft will announce further price cuts for their existing PS3 and Xbox 360 hardware.
With the biggest players on the gaming scene set to steal the show on June 4th, Nintendo has yet to confirm when it will hold its own E3 2012 press conference with the Japanese giant lined up to officially unveil the long awaited Wii U release date and price.
What do you hope to see out of Sony and Microsoft at this year’s E3 expo? Is new hardware needed or are you still happy with the PS3 and Xbox 360? Let us know via the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds.
