Michael Dell announces newer, bigger Android device.

New tablet boasts bigger screen, Android OS.

Dell CEO Michael Dell announced yesterday that his company is working on a second tablet computer.

Breaking the news at the Oracle conference on Wednesday, Dell confirmed that the new tablet was currently in the prototype stages but that it was running on Google’s Android OS.

Details on the device are, so far, scarce, although Dell told audiences at the conference that the new tablet will boast a 7 inch screen. An increase in size would bring the device closer in line with competition from Samsung and Apple, who offer 7 and 9 inch tablets respectively.

Dell did not announce any release schedule for the new tablet.
