Medal Of Honor leads UK games sales

Medal Of Honor: Warfighter unseats FIFA at the top of the UK games sales chart

Medal Of Honor: Warfigher has replaced FIFA 13 at the top of the UK's videogames sale charts

It seems the modern theatre of war is more than a match for the beautiful game - at least for this week - as Medal Of Honor: Warfighter has ended FIFA 13's unbroken five-week reign at the top of the UK games sales charts. Warfigher is the 14th installment in the series and is the direct sequel of the 2010 reboot of the Medal of Honor series. Despit the fact that it's received widely mixed reviews, it's still managed to punt FIFA 13 into second place.

Elsewhere in the charts, Forza Horizon, Playground Games's open-world take on the Forza franchise debuts on the charts in third position. Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, the latest installment in the hugely successful puzzle series for the DS console, enters the chart in seventh place, while Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park, debuts at eighth position. The rest of the top ten shapes up like this:

1. Medal Of Honor: Warfigher (new entry)
2. FIFA 13 (ranked 1 last week)
3. Forza Horizon (new entry)
4. Skylanders Giants (ranke 2 last week)
5. Dishonored (ranked 3 last week)
6. Just Dance 4 (ranked 4 last week)
7. Professor Layton & The Miracle Mask (new entry)
8. Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park (new entry)
9. Doom 3: BFG Edition (ranked 5 last week)
10. Resident Evil 6 (ranked 7 last week)
