McLaren's new lineup
Vodafone unveil three new phones as part of partnership with Formula 1 team.
Driving with your mobile on the go isn't the smartest of moves. But Vodafone's swanky new McLaren Mercedes models mean that you can at least marry your twin obsessions of gadget one-upmanship and fast cars without losing your licence.
The mobile operator has unleashed three new phones following its hook up with the Formula 1 team for the new season. They've teamed up with Sharp to produce two slick looking clamshells, the GX29 and 770SH, while also showing off a Samsung slider, the SGH-Z720M.
These new releases can perhaps be compared with McLaren's new look lineup for 2007. The GX29 is the test driver: a basic model that does what it's told. The 770SH is Formula 1 rookie Lewis Hamilton: an entry level 3G phone with plenty of promise. And the SGH-Z520M is World Champ Fernando Alonso, a world class phone, packing a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus.
