Low stock points to internal updates for top-end MacBook Pros.
The MacBook Pro looks set for an imminent refresh with stocks of the 15 and 17 inch models running low at Apple stores and third party retailers. MacRumors is reporting that Amazon isn’t shipping 17 inch models for “one to two months”.
However, you can still lay your hands on the top-end laptops at Apple’s online store within 24 hours. But with other stores reporting difficulties in getting hold of stock, the chances of an update appear extremely likely.
The new model of the MacBook Pro is expected to cram in the latest Intel processors, with chatter that this upgrade could go beyond a simple internal boost. Word is Apple wants to slim the machines down, taking its cue from the stunning new MacBook Air lineup.
