New box will hook up with Google's new offering, with Android and iOS apps also expected.
Logitech Revue Google TV box set for 6 October
Google TV has been back at the top of the gadget agenda this week, following chatter that the Apple TV bashing service could top a million units this year. And now word has finally landed on what techheads can get their hands on the first piece of kit to pack in the Big G’s boobtube bonanza.
Logitech is holding an event over in New York on 6 October, next Wednesday, to officially launch its Revue box, which will let you access the web, use Google TV to record your favourite shows and keep up with your pals’ TV-based opinions on Twitter.
Logitech is promising “a line of products for Google TV”, with some suggesting that an Android and iOS app to control the Revue is in the pipeline.
Sadly, this will be a US release for now. But even so, Google TV is such a big deal that we can’t help but get a tad moist with excitement. Let us know what you reckon to Google TV via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
