Liquid Image have announced their Wi-Fi enabled EGO sports camera which will let you send video and pictures wirelessly straight to your iPhone or Android smartphone.
With a 136-degree wide-angle lens the camera is able to shoot images with a resolution of 12MP whilst video is served up in two forms: 1080p Full-HD at 30fps for the perfectionist while those looking for more high-speed footage can record in 720p but at 60fps.
The EGO also supports Micro SDHC up to 32GB which means you'll be able to store thousands of images and continuously record up to 2 hours of footage until the battery finally caves in.
In the box you'll get a tripod and also a multi-directional mount and adhesive pad making sure that no matter what sport your doing the EGO will be able to capture it perfectely.
The Liquid Image Ego app, available free on iOS and Android (called Action Connect), enables your camera and phone to be synced using wifi so that you can control the camera remotely.
The camera becomes a Wi-Fi hotspot itself, and once the phone has connected the app allows the shooting of still images, triggering of video recording and changing camera settings, such as frame rate and resolution. You can also watch and share recorded video on your phone or tablet.
The EGO will be available sometime this month and will be on sale for £159.99.
