LG's lightweight lap-dwellers

LG's newest laptops truly are thin-gs of beauty, weighing just one kilogram, and slimming down to impress our socks off.

Lucky Koreans will be the first to get their hands on the slimline lappies, which come packing a 12.1-inch screen, 60-gig hard drive and a gig of RAM, all in a package weighing little more than a bag of sugar.

There's a surprising amount of graphical grunt under the hood too, with the micro machines squeezing in an Nvidia GForce Go7300 chip.

We've heard rumblings that the pint-sized portables will make their way to European shores, but there's no word on price, or a timescale for their arrival.
