LG to unveil world's thinnest OLED TV

New generation 31" TV to make appearance at IFA this week

Ultra-thin TV supports full HD and 3D playback

LG has announced plans to unveil the world’s largest and thinnest OLED TV at IFA this week. The unnamed model is just 2.9mm thick, and at 31” is more than double the size of their previous OLED, the £1,500 experimental EL9500 released earlier this year.

The device is capable of a full 1920x1080 resolution and supports a 600hz panel refresh rate and 3D playback. OLED display technology has been praised by the industry for its quick refresh rates, wide viewing angles and black levels. LG has stated it will be on sale from the middle of 2011.
