LG could be bringing out more high-end iPhone rivals if this rumour is anything to go by with the Optimus 4X HD being the only real contendor from LG
Qualcomm has released a statement claiming it will be powering LG’s yet-to-be-revealed quad-core phone
Although this is the first official word we’ve heard about the rumoured device, Qualcomm claims it will be powering the LG quad-core with its own Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor.
The statement reads: “Qualcomm will supply the latest Snapdragon S4 Pro platform to LG, enabling LG’s new quad-core smartphone.”
Qualcomm went on to add that LG’s new quad-core phone will be available in Korea in September, with a “global rollout to follow.” On top of the Snapdragon S4 processor, the phone will be have 3G/LTE multi-mode capabilities.
