LG has confirmed that the Android 4.0 filled LG Optimus L5 will hit European markets later this month with the Ice Cream Sandwich loving handset launching in the UK as well as Germany and France.
Touted by its Korean manufacturer as being a “seamless merger of style and technology,” the Optimus L5 was originally unveiled back in February during MWC 2012 but unlike its L3 and L7 siblings has yet to make it to retailer’s shelves.
LG Optimus L5 Features
Lining up at just 9.5mm thick, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich filled L5 is far from the most advanced handset on the market with a 4-inch HVGA display landing alongside a 5-megapixel rear-mounted camera with the now standard collection of autofocus and integrated LED flash features.
With an 800MHz single-core processor putting the Optimus L5 firmly in the realms of mediocrity, the handset’s 4GB of internal storage is further bolstered by its microSD card slot. Elsewhere NFC capabilities feature next to the expected Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity options.
LG Optimus L5 Release Date and Price
Although LG has confirmed that its Optimus L5 handset will touch down in the UK later this month, the tech giant has yet to hand an exact release date or UK price to the mid-range device.
