After the overwhelming success of the Google Nexus 4 LG will be hoping to keep the momentum going with it's next flagship 'phablet' rumoured to be the Optimus G2
LG Optimus G2 to launch at CES 2013?
Samsung Galaxy S3
LG could be launching it's next 'phablet' the Optimus G2 at CES 2013 after a short trailer was released by the company which hinted at a premium mobile product being announced.
The Optimus G2 would be a direct successor to LG's impressive Optimus G which sadly never appeared in the UK but offered some serious bang for buck being only 8mm thick but still packing a quad-core processor.
No word on specs for the G2 however it's likely that LG will be using the same in-cell technology found on the Optimus G which integrates the touchscreen with the display allowing for a very slim build.
A quad-core processor seems almost certain and if the last handset is anything to go by expect at the very least 2GB of RAM making it a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S3.
While the original had a 1280x728 HD display it could be possible that LG will be taking on the likes of the HTC J Butterfly by offering up a 5.5-inch 1080p Full-HD display.
LG currently makes the hugely popular Nexus 4 for Google and will no doubt be hoping to continue the success of the Nexus with its own range of smartphones to take on the likes of Apple, Samsung and HTC.

We're working to fix the problem right now and will have it working as soon as possible
