LG's 3D TV contingent is to become one member stronger with the Korean manufacturer confirming the release of a new Google TV incorporating set
Despite Google TV struggling to attract users and forge a market in the US, LG has unveiled its first Google TV devices at CES 2012 ahead of the service’s UK arrival next year.
Taking internet-connected TVs to the next level, the LG Google TV will see a new 3D offering land with the Android based Google television service featured alongside LG’s established and well respected Smart TV platform.
“LG has constantly strived to provide consumers with wider choices in home entertainment that bring the highest level of sophistication and convenience,” said Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company. “Through Google TV, LG has merged Google’s established Android operating system with LG’s proven 3D and Smart TV technologies, offering consumers a new and enthralling TV experience.”

With a passive 3D TV offering extra-dimensional content with cheap to replace battery-free specs, the upcoming LG Google TV will boast multi-tasking capabilities with social networking, search and TV viewing functions all capable of running simultaneously.
LG Google TV Release Date
Showcased at CES 2012, LG’s Google TV offering is still some way from hitting stores, with the Korean tech giant confirming its newly announced system will hit the US later this year ahead of a LG Google TV UK release date that has been pencilled in for 2013.
