Korean tech giant says global expansion of Apple's tablet will have to be put on hold.
LG mouthing off about Apple’s best-selling iPad might seem bizarre. But the Korean player supplies the screen for Cupertino’s slate, and it reckons Jobs and co are about to run up against some severe supply issues.
LG’s top exec Kwon Young-Soo didn’t mince his words when asked about the tablet. “Apple may have to delay launches of the iPad for some countries due to tight component supplies and strong demand.”
With upwards of three million sold and counting, the iPad rolled out in nine new countries last week, but it’s still not a completely global player. It seems Apple is about to become a victim of its own success.
