New Cookie series to sport full touchscreen displays
LG announces youthful Cookie phone series
LG has unwrapped its new range of full touchscreen phones which they hope will have serious appeal to the more youthful mobile-buying market.
The brightly hued handsets will target what the Cookie-makers refer to as 'Generation Z' mobile consumers, following in the footsteps of Samsung with its social networking-centric Genio range.
The LG Cookie, Cookie Style and Cookie 3G will all sport the familiar cartoon-style UI, virtual QWERTY keypads, a 3.5-inch headphone jack, FM radio and microSD slot.
The LG Cookie is the most pocket-friendly of the trio and boasts a 2.4-inch display, while the Cookie Style sports a larger 2.8-inch LCD display. The Cookie 3G is focused on providing quick connectivity to the web, and also hosts email with push-delivery.
The LG Cookie Series will be available for teenagers to hassle their parents for in the UK in September. Pricing for the handsets will be revealed nearer to the launch date.
