LG announces the 'affordable' KP500 touchscreen mobile

It may be affordable, but that full touchscreen sounds delectable...

Being billed as the "UK's most affordable full touchscreen handset", the KP500 from LG was announced today mere minutes after Samsung confirmed the Pixon M8800 touchscreen phone.

Affordable normally means low-end or budget, however the KP500 still manages to boast a 3" touchscreen, accelerometer and a photo-snapping camera. That's better than some other touchscreen mobiles we can think of, who shall remain nameless!

It looks just like the KC910 Renoir that LG announced last week, but doesn't have 3G internet connectivity (hence the affordable moniker), and will be available from the end of October.
