Leopard set for March

Mac gossip hounds point to an early release for Apple's latest, greatest OS.

If web rumour mongers are to be believed, Apple is shaping up to unleash Leopard at the end of March. Cupertino's finest already stated that they'd be dropping the new version of OS X-in 'spring' but if this release date is confirmed, it's far earlier than initially expected.

Apparently, Jobs and friends have surprised themselves by the speed with which they've got their all-conquering system up and ready for hungry Mac addicts. Alongside the spanking new OS X 10.5, Apple lovers will be able to get their hands on new versions of iLife and iWork.

We're gagging to get hold of Leopard, and as soon as we hear as much as a sniff of an official release date, we'll be sure to let you know first.
