Lean, mean Dell machines

The world's skinniest notebook sashays into view.

The Smartie-coloured Inspirons weren't the only thing Dell dropped at their recent launch. Also unveiled was an über-lean lappy.

Measuring in at a bite-size 0.9-inch, the ultra-portable XPS M1330 looks the business, with a magnesium alloy frame and brushed aluminium accents.

Though these babies aren't available in 'Sunshine Yellow' or 'Spring Green' like their Inspiron counterparts, they do come dipped in your pick of 'Tuxedo Black', 'Pearl White' or 'Crimson Red'.

Crammed inside you'll find a high-definition 13-3 inch display, full-sized keyboard and fingerprint security. Oh, and a webcam and noise-isolating cans, HDMI support ... (stop us if you get bored)... slot-load optical drive, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor...-

You'll be able to sling one over your shoulder - well, they weigh a mere 1.8kgs - for upwards of £730.
