JVC reveals Full HD LCD aimed at photo professionals
Show off your snaps in perfect colour
JVC has slipped the wrapping off a brand new Full HD TV that promises sublime colour reproduction to appeal to custom installers and D-SLR users. The 42” LT-42WX70 display features a widened colour space capacity that enhances colours, details and textures on moving and still images.
The result is a monitor that JVC claims will do justice to all your proudest photographic moments. The LT-42WX70 offers 100% perfect reproduction of sRGB and HDTV’s broadcasting colour space, and impressive 96% of Adobe RGB colour space. Cutting through the jargon, that means JVC’s newest monitor is able to provide deeper, richer colours, with subtle colour transitions and tones, as well as enhanced skin tones.
In fact, it’s so accurate that JVC reckons it could be used by D-SLR user for editing stills and checking them for colour accuracy before sending to a photo printer.
If you’re an HDTV obsessive who likes to tweak pictures settings each time some comes into the room wearing too much blue, you’ll be delighted to find 52 different picture-quality adjustment properties that can be applied to each individual source. For custom installers, that means more ways of making the image properties jaw-droppingly perfect for every input.
The LT-42WX70 also features a slim and light weight design; it’s just 43mm deep and weighs only 12.5kg. Connections include 3 x HDMI inputs, D-Sub 15pin with component video, and an audio input jack.
JVC is keeping the retail price under wraps for now, although we can safely assume this specialist telly is going to cost a pretty penny. The LT-42WX70 will be launching in May.
