JVC Picsio WP10 and FM2 touchscreen HD cams launch

Waterproof and flip-out USB upright camcorders inbound

The Flip camcorder war rages on...

JVC has re-entered the ‘flip’ upright camcorder race with two new models, the GC-WP10 and the GC-FM2. Both shoot full 1080p HD video, as well as options to shoot 720p HD, iFrame, Quarter High Definition and take Attenborough-favourite time-lapse footage. The 4x zoom and other features on both are all controlled via the rear-mounted touchscreen.

The main difference between to the two models is that, while the FM2 (pictured left) has a pop-out USB port, the WP10 (pictured right) is waterproof to 10 feet. Both cams have HDMI outs and are inbuilt with LoiLoScope EX video editing software. Storage is taken care of by SD Cards.

The JVC Picsio WP10 and FM2 will be out in September. Pricing’s yet to be confirmed, but we’d expect them to be in the region of £120 to £180.
