With the Jawbone UP UK release date lined up for next Thursday, November 17th, and the app-connected personal health monitor to be exclusive to iPhone users at launch, Jawbone’s Bandar Antabi has told T3 the UP service will be rolled out to Android “soon.”
Boasting a trio of key performance monitors from motion sensors than track the number of steps a user has made to a sleep tracker than analyses how well users are sleeping via a food log, the Jawbone UP bracelet and app combination looks set to make monitoring and improving your health easier and quicker.
“We are definitely looking into bringing Jawbone UP and the UP app to Android,” said Bandar Antabi, Jawbone’s Vice President and Head of Special Projects in an exclusive interview with T3. “We want to make this happen as soon as possible. As soon as we can get it out we will have it out, Android is definitely something that is on our radar.”
Not content with expanding solely to Android Antabi added: “We are looking at a web platform application as well as pursuing a dedicated iPad app. Our goal is to get this onto all of the most used smartphone operating systems in the future.”
