iTunes Replay movie service talk premature

Talk of imminent launch debunked

Sources say Apple still hasn't signed deals with number of studios.

iTunes Replay, Apple’s purported cloud-based movie streaming service, will not be launching imminently, despite reports last week that Cupertino was close to officially unveiling the service.

‘Multiple film industry sources’ have told Cnet that Apple is still waiting to ink deals with four more studios. Negotiations will apparently ‘drag on’ as both sides look to iron out the finer details of the streaming service.

iTunes Replay will allow movie fans to stream flicks, before downloading and syncing them across their Macs and iOS kit. Such a service would be a hit, just don’t expect to see it go live this side of Christmas.
