The rumours are heating up with E3 just 'round the corner

Fanboys have been grinding the rumour mill the last couple of days, after an advert from gaming publisher Nippon Ichi was posted on the website Aeropause, showing the Nintendo DS with a wide-screen not seen since the likes of the Sony PSP was in fashion.

It's all likely to be bollocks of course, with Nintendo already refuting the claims surrounding a redesigned DS, which has been rumoured to launch at the American gaming convention E3 next week.

It's all "purely rumour and speculation" according to the Nintendo rep who was tasked with the ordeal of denying the claims this week, and after closer inspection, it does look as though the advert supposedly showing the redesigned DS is actually a budget Photoshop. The red low-battery light in particular, is a touch of genius on the poor designer who had the task of rendering the image.
