iRiver Story Touch Edition spotted

New e-reader will ditch QWERTY panel for proddable E-Ink display

Successor to iRiver story in the works, but no word on whether it'll break out of Korea.

iRiver is working on a tarted up version of its sleek eReader, the iriver Story. Dropping the QWERTY panel of the original, the new model will rock a 6-inch touchscreen with a stylus in the box.

Dubbed the Story Touch Edition, it’ll also come packing 2GB of storage, plenty for thousands of books, as well as an SD slot, an accelerometer and two speakers.

Best of all, it supports a slew of formats including CBZ, ePub and PDF. You’ll also be able to chow down on MP3s and WMAs, as well as check out reports using the built-in office viewer.

There’s no news on when, or indeed if, this number will land safely on these shores. But with the original iRiver Story out and about here in Blighty. there’s no reason to assume this won’t rock up here soon.
