iPod's dock clock

Blast yourself free from slumber with this sleep-shunning noisebox from Logic3.

Charge your iPod and wake to your favourite tunes every day with this dinky dock from speaker specialists Logic3. There's a radio in there too, so you can tune to your favourite DJ should you tire of your own tracks.

Dubbed the i-Station IS10, it's available in either black or white to match your music player, and offers a wake-up call from its AM/FM tuner, a traditional sleep-shattering buzzer, or an ultra-rousing power ballad from your favourite iPod playlist.

Slick, compact and with a backlit dimmable LCD screen, it'll store two alarm times, so you can wake the missus up at a different time or book yourself a lie-in coupled with your top tunes.

For the infinitely bed-bound, there's a remote control so you can change tracks, reset the alarm or hit snooze without venturing from beneath the duvet.

Unlike normal clock radios, the IS10 has a built-in battery, so you'll still be woken, even if there's a power cut. It can also be linked to a PC or Mac, so your 'Pod will sync when your computer's switched on.

Stereo line-in means you can also use other devices to pump it full of noise, and the whole package costs a very reasonable £70. Leaving the land of nod has never been so hi-tech.
