Free signal loss fixing cases given by iPhone application
iPhone 4 signal loss case app launched by Apple
Apple has begun offering all iPhone 4 owners the opportunity to claim their free signal loss-fixing case through a newly released iPhone 4 exclusive app entitled ‘iPhone 4 Case Program’.
As well as offering its own branded Bumper case, the Apple app allows iPhone 4 owners the choice of seven other protective accessories from a variety of manufacturers that includes Incase, Belkin, Griffin and Speck.

The free to download app, which is limited via handset’s IMEI and serial number to the iPhone 4, requires eligibility confirmation to download and will only be available to iPhone 4 customers who purchase their handsets prior to September 30th. Once they have purchased their iPhone 4 handsets, users will have just 30 days to claim their free case via the Case Program app.
Those customers who were eager enough to snap themselves up an iPhone 4 on launch day need not fear having passed this 30 day limitation, however. Those who brought their iPhone 4 before the case claiming app launched on July 23rd have until August 22nd to claim their free accessory.
Still denying any serious fault with the iPhone 4, Apple has commented on the iPhone 4 Case Program app, stating: “Once eligibility is confirmed, you will be able to chose an iPhone 4 Bumper or other case. The Bumper or case will be shipped to you at no charge.” Having selected their free case, iPhone 4 users will still have to endure a minimum of 3-5 weeks of signal loss issues before receiving their accessory fix, however, with some of the available cases given with an expected arrival time of 6-8 weeks .
Whilst T3 has today applied for our signal saving freebie, the clear Incase Snap Case for iPhone 4, and received a confirmation email predicting delivery on September 1st, more than five weeks away, one T3 reader has reported much speedier action: “With many people complaining that their free Bumper/Case would not be shipped for 3-5 weeks, I can confirm that my shipping notification email came through this morning (my bumper will be here in 3 days).”
