iPhone 2 already designed
Reports suggest Apple's already completed the design for the iPhone's successor, changing its shape significantly.
It's weeks away from landing in American stores, but the iPhone's already outdated it seems. According to reports in Chinese newspapers the Commercial Times and Economic Daily News Apple is auditioning manufacturers ready for delivery of the second-gen device as early as September.
According to the tipsters at AppleInsider, both papers say the new device features "a different outer design to fit different markets."
So far, so cryptic. But could this be the reason we're yet to hear of a European carrier for the iPhone as we know it? Is Apple planning a completely different model for sale on this side of the pond in November?
It's an interesting rumour, but with the amount of hype generated by the first generation iPhone fuelling anticipation across the globe we'd be surprised to see Apple issue a revised model quite so quickly. Could this infact be the iPhone nano we've been hoping for?
