Ahead of Tuesday's iOS 5 launch, Twitter is preparing users for deeper integration with Apple's mobile operating system by updating its application with the new in-house photo-sharing service. The app is available to download now.
Twitter has issued an updated for its Apple iPhone, iPod touch and iPad apps, which will now offer easier means of sharing photographs with the social network.
The refresh will allow users to upload a picture from their camera roll to pic.twitter.com, which is the company's own picture sharing service set to go head to head with the umpteen other providers like Twitpic and yfrog.
The upgraded app ties in directly with Twitter's new deep integration into Apple's iOS 5 operating system, which launches in the UK sometime on Tuesday evening.
Other improvements on the iPad app include the ability to see tweets posted near your general location and an improved direct messaging engine.
The new app is, naturally a free upgrade that's available to download from the App Store now.
