iOS 4.3 edges closer to release

New version of OS seeded to devs

Will iOS 4.3 come alongside The Daily?

iOS 4.3 has edged closer to release, with devs being seeded the latest version of the mobile operating system to tinker around with. The new effort, which is set to rock personal hotspot smarts, has yet to be pegged with an official release date.

The new version of iOS 4.3 is said to come with the ability to delete apps mid-download, giving you one last chance to kill off a purchase before it’s too late. You’ll be able to delete said apps by holding down the home button, entering wiggle mode and pressing the close button, just as you do with apps already on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

AirPlay tweaks and the iPad’s side switch getting mute and orientation lock skills have already been billed as iOS 4.3’s other main features. Recurring subscriptions are also being planned for the revamped OS as part of The Daily’s release, scheduled for today.

With the News International and Apple tie-up due, could we finally get an iOS 4.3 release date today as well? Stay tuned here, and to our Facebook and Twitter pages, for more as we get it.
