Apple's newest iPhone software good-to-go

New version of OS fixes bugs and adds Game Centre.

iOS 4.1 has hit the web bang on time, with punters rocking an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, or a 2nd to 4th gen iPod touch able to get in on the action.

The OS boost comes just one week after it was unveiled at Apple’s annual iPod event in San Francisco, and adds a string of new improvements. Game Centre for multiplayer gaming, HDR photos and fixes to the proximity sensor lead the line.

While the upgrade is set to give the iPhone 3G a much needed performance push, owners of Apple’s two-year-old phone will not be getting Game Centre.
