INQ's Mini 3G on sale today

Social media addicts targeted by INQ's affordable little Twitter portal

INQ's latest sociable mobile has officially launched in the UK today, with the Mini 3G appearing in 3 mobile stores across the country right now. You may have seen a man putting them out on display this very lunch time.

The Mini 3G adds support for Twitter to its range of built-in custom social networking apps, as if we don't already spend enough time Tweeting about which chair we're going to sit on next.

As was foreseen, the charge tarrif for picking up a free handset starts with 3's basic £15 "Internet Texter" plan, which gives you kids free web use, free calls to other 3 users, voicemail and 75 minutes of boring old traditional telephone use if you still like forming words with your mouth and tongue and speaking them out loud.

If you want a pay-as-you-go version, that's yours for £59.99. Plus, as a special bonus in the UK, remember that 3 offers free Skype-to-Skype chat as well. Stick it to the man.

Elsewhere in the INQ/social news category today, a version of Spotify, the world's most fashionable application, is rumoured to be on the way to INQ's platform via a branded Spotify handset.

Newsy blog TechCrunch believes INQ's boffins are currently designing a custom Spotify-branded phone for Swedish mobile network Telia, which will inevitably come to pretty much everywhere on earth given how popular the music streaming service is right now.
