INQ has officially unveiled two new Facebook-centric Android phones as the INQ Cloud Touch and INQ Cloud Q land ending much speculation around the social network themed handsets.
Although not officially branded to the world dominating social network, the new INQ handsets have reportedly been designed is close cooperation with Facebook to offer end users a fully immersive Facebook experience.
Announcing “Facebook is the core of this product,” INQ have revealed that the Android 2.2 run Cloud Touch will sport a bespoke homescreen overlay that offers a Visual Media Feed for the latest update to a user’s Facebook newsfeed with pictures, videos and web links all on the receiving end of the sleek UI treatment.
Set to land in the UK via The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy this April, the INQ Cloud Touch will sport a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 600MHz Qualcomm processor. Available in three colours from launch, red, white and black, the Cloud Touch will also feature with usual array of Wi-Fi and MicroUSB connectivity options as well as a somewhat disappointing 4GB of internal memory.
Aside from the handset’s Facebook friendly credentials, a trait that will no doubt appeal to Facebook addicted teenagers, the Cloud Touch will feature Spotify as the default music player allowing users to sync their playlists or signup and make use of a seemingly endless offering of tunes on the move.
