HTC unveils the super-slim Snap smartphone
Stay in touch with your Inner Circle
No, this isn't a new BlackBerry, it's the latest smartphone from HTC, going by the name of Snap.
It certainly doesn't look like a HTC handset - no slide-out keyboard or touchscreen here. But if you want something for hammering away at that email backlog, this could be your baby. Indeed, email is all-important here, with the phone packing an Inner Circle feature that prioritises those in your life you care about. How? Well, it pushes your closest friends' messages to the top of your inbox, leaving that mass of spam, social network notifications and work email to fester at the bottom. We're liking your style HTC.
Aside from that, this super-slim (12mm wide) handset packs all the basics and a little bit more, including that ergonomically-designed QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, AGPS, room for a microSDHC card and a healthy battery life of up to 8.5 hours. Operating system as you might expect, is Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1.
Look out for the HTC Snap in the 'second quarter of 2009', priced from free with a contract.
