HTC Puccini tablet: Pictures and specs leak before launch

HTC Honeycomb tablet to hit IFA with 8MP camera?

HTC Puccini: Pictures and specs of the next 10.1-inch Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet

Ahead of the device’s expected IFA unveiling the repeatedly leaked 10.1-inch HTC Puccini has appeared online once again with a series of clear spyshots landing alongside some rather impressive specs.

Shown as sporting a brushed aluminium casing with a substantial black bezel the HTC Puccini is claimed by tech site Engadget as readying for launch with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM.

Continuing HTC’s longstanding partnership with Google the Puccini is unsurprisingly tipped as running the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system from launch with an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera and 16GB of internal storage included.

Following on from the 7-inch HTC Flyer tablet which was unveiled at Mobile World Congress earlier this year the Puccini is to land as a direct rival to Apple’s market dominating iPad 2 device.

Speaking with T3 ahead of the expected HTC Puccini arrival a HTC spokesperson remained typically cagey stating: “we do not comment on rumour and speculation.”

Can HTC’s claimed 10-inch tablet truly challenge the Apple iPad 2 atop the tablet charts? Let us know what you think via the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds.
