The upcoming HTC M7 could be rechristened the HTC One according to the latest whirl of internet rumours
HTC M7 to be named simply HTC One?

HTC is relying heavily on its upcoming HTC M7 flagship handset to return the company to former Android glories - but the latest rumour suggests the Taiwanese company may simply call the phone the HTC One.
The name change was the latest in a long line of leaks regarding the new handset and came courtesy of Twitter account @evleaks.
HTC used its "One" branding last year, culminating with the launch of the HTC One X and One X+. Two Android heavy-hitters that didn't quite land as many punches as the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The Taiwanese company isn't the most secretive tech firm out there, so even though this is just another internet rumour, there could be a shred of truth to it. After all, Peter Chou recently pulled out the handset at the company's end-of-year party in Taipei to snap a couple of pictures - and even shouted "HTC One" at the audience.
Regardless of the name, the new M7/One is expected to make it's debut at Mobile World Congress later this month and will give Android fans a fresh rival to current top dog, the Sony Xperia Z.
