Smartphone leader HTC has today announced the imminent European launch of the HTC Gratia, an Android 2.2 powered handset sleekly finished with a seamless wrap-around soft cover.
Scrapping the hardened edges, the soft finish Gratia will host a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and HTC’s much acclaimed HTC Sense user interface skin when it hits European shelves on a yet undisclosed date in November and a UK market during the first quarter of 2011. Taking notes from an unimaginative paint chart, the HTC Gratia will be available in three colours, Charcoal Black, Forest Green and Pearl White.
Packing a 3.2-inch touchscreen and 600MHz Qualcomm processor the HTC Gratia is one of the smaller HTC handsets available measuring in at just 103.8 x 57.7 x 11.7 mm and a meager 115 grams in weight. A microsUSB port is included for connectivity as is built-in Wi-Fi connection and 3.5mm headphone jack.
“HTC Gratia offers something completely different” said the President of HTC Europe, Middle East and Africa, Florian Seiche. On the Gratia Seiche added: “Its compact size, beautiful design and power with Android 2.2, combined with its personalised experience through HTC Sense, is uniquely compelling.”
