The snaps spotted by site BestBoyz on German store Base, appears to show the device expected to be launched at a HTC event on September 15th, which looks very similiar to previous 'leaked' HTC Desire HD pictures.

So what about the Windows Mobile 6.5 UI? Well it looks like someone has put their Photoshop skills to good use to make the switched off device look a little more exciting. The fact that we expect the Desire HD to be powered by the latest version of Android is another reason not to read too much into this part of the latest Desire HD leak.

We do know that HTC has plans for a Windows Phone 7 handset, with the HTC HD7 rumoured to be unveiled at next week's event. Yesterday's news that Windows Phone 7 is set to launch October 11th, may sugges this is a little wide of the mark.

T3 will be at the HTC event to find out what handset delights HTC you'll be clamouring over in the next few months.
