HTC Desire to pack 4.3-inch LCD display

HTC, the Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer responsible for the Desire handset has today announced two new Android powered handsets in the form of the HTC Desire Z and the 4.3-inch LCD display touting HTC Desire HD.

The high-end Desire HD was unveiled during HTC’s press conference in London today and looks set to follow the company’s recent spate of devices capable of challenging the Apple iPhone at the top of the smartphone market. Set to run Google’s Android 2.2, FroYo operating system, the new Desire HD will launch across Europe next month.

Packing a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities the Desire HD is a top of the range device capable of knocking Apple’s flagship handset from its lofty perch.

Like the HTC Legend of a previous generation the Desire HD will be sculpted from a single block of aluminum for a stunning finish.
