Taiwanese tech titan says update is coming and tells users to "stay tuned".
HTC has confirmed that its current batch of Android phones will be getting a boost to the all-new Gingerbread version of the OS.
In a brief statement, the mobile maker said, “We are excited about the OS update coming for Android, and while HTC will definitely have some phones running this OS, we do not have a specific timeframe for new phones or updates at this time. Please stay tuned for more details."
While it’s no doubt welcome news, HTC’s failure to hand over more specific information is bound to cause concern. The protracted move to Android 2.2 FroYo will cause some punters to worry that the same thing is about to happen again.
