Tablet finally on its way, six months after official reveal.
HP TouchPad up for pre-order
The HP TouchPad is almost upon us. The webOS-packing slate has just been put up for pre-order on HP’s official site, with the 16GB model costing £399 and the 32GB version setting you back £479.
Those prices match exactly the same iPad 2 Wi-Fi models, meaning HP is all set to go toe-to-toe with Apple in the battle for tablet supremacy. HP will be hoping webOS, which looks stunning on the 9.7-inch, 1024x768 screen, will help give the TouchPad the edge.
For those who’ve let the TouchPad’s deets slip from their memories, the forthcoming tab comes with Exchange support, access to stacks of apps via the App Catalog, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, vast audio format support and tips the scales at 740g.
Will you be pre-ordering an HP TouchPad? Or are you unfussed by this latest slate? Let us know what you think on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
