Fourth, student-focused machine also being primed for CES.
HP PalmPad: three models set for CES
HP will roll out not one, but three versions of its webOS-packing PalmPad at CES in the first week in January. That’s according to a report for Fox News in the US, which also claims there’ll be a fourth model made specifically for students.
Word is that each version will run webOS 2.5.1, with a 1.3 megapixel front-facing and 3 megapixel rear-facing camera, mini HDMI and USB skills. The latter are of course missing from the current version of key rival, Apple’s iPad.
Interestingly, Fox also says the PalmPad will hit shelves in March, just as Apple gears up for the release of the iPad 2. With the BlackBerry PlayBook also slated for release then, March 2011 looks like it’ll be a hell of a month for tablets.
We’ll be coming live from CES, so don’t forget to stay tuned to get all the news as it happens, either right here or at our Facebook and Twitter pages.
