Hot Wii-ls
Renault wreck becomes mobile games wagon - courtesy of Pimp My Ride UK.
The sheer number of cars featured on MTV's Pimp My Ride show - wherein a bashed-up old rustbucket is magically transformed it into a tech-heavy super-mobile - means that it takes something special to catch our eye. And this is it.
This particular pimpage deserves special praise because MTV's car modding experts have managed to stick a Nintendo Wii inside a Renault Clio.
Obviously the interior of a small hatchback isn't the ideal environment for the frantic wand-waving required by most Wii games, so the modders have done the sensible thing and installed the console in the boot. Pop the trunk and a 19-inch LCD jumps to attention, letting you stand behind the motor and jump around with the Wiimote to your heart's content.
Of course the tech-fest doesn't begin and end there. The Clio also features a Blaupunkt entertainment system with four 6.5-inch LCD screens, six-disc multichanger, a couple of amps and two 12-inch subwoofers, not to mention sports seats, alloy wheels, BMX bike rack, a "mini gym" and, er, under-body LED lighting.
You can see exactly how the conversion was done on MTV's Pimp My Ride UK, which is shown on Sundays at 9.30pm - or head over to the website for more pics and videos.
