Harman shows off Touch&Go
New in-car infotainment system developed in partnership with TomTom; available in Toyota cars across Europe from 2014
Audio specialist Harman has announced a partnership with TomTom and Toyota that will see its Touch&Go system offered to customers throughout Europe from next year.
Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier today, Touch&Go has been designed as an all round entertainment and infotainment platform.
The system will offer users access to TomTom's realtime traffic information, HD Traffic. The service can locate traffic delays and traffic jams and advise drivers ahead of time. TomTom claims that it has the highest coverage of Europe.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Toyota and TomTom to provide HD Traffic real-time traffic information to drivers across Europe," says Dinesh Paliwal, Harman's chairman, president and CEO. "Thanks to Harman and TomTom pooling their expertise in navigation, we can deliver the best navigation experience possible to Toyota drivers."
