Fresh GTA 5 release date rumours emerge following a Gamescom 2012 teaser trailer, which features a brief clip of the game
Gamers could finally find out when the upcoming GTA 5 will be released.
According to fresh rumours, Rockstar, the game’s developers, are planning to release new details about the title at the Gamescom trade fair, held annually in Cologne, Germany, including when it will finally hit shelves.
Speculation emerged following the recent release of a Gamescom 2012 promotional video, which features a brief clip of the game.
The trailer, which can be viewed below, shows a brief clip of the shooter, which prompted reports of new details emerging from the event when it kicks off on August 15.
Adding further fuel to the fire, the game’s publisher, Take-Two, is included on the list of exhibitors. With the big boys around, the chances of a big announcement being made is far greater.
Although no official confirmation has been given, GTA 5 is rumoured to be landing some time in October.
Gamescom is Europe’s largest trade fair for video games, with about 275,000 attendees each year.
It’s used by games developers to showcase their upcoming games and hardware, and also to make new announcements.
