Rockstar games have announced Grand Theft Auto 5 will be coming, and if their website is anything to go by then it could be coming sooner than originally thought.

Revealed as a holding page on their main website the page simply shows the new logo and a date for the first trailer which will be next week. Gaming website CVG has information from sources that suggests the game could well be set in a real-world Los Angeles making a departure from the slightly fantastical worlds that Grand Theft Auto is usually based on.

The website has also heard that in fact the game is near completion, with mini-games being applied recently. The last Grand Theft Auto title IV was the fastest-selling game in the UK and with such heavy hitters making an appearance this Christmas it'll be interesting to see when this latest installment will be heading to living-rooms.
