Google voice and image search for desktop

Next step in making searching even easier

Google has finally decided that using our keyboards is just too last year for searching.

Google has unveiled two new ways in which you can search, Image and Voice search, both of which are useable right inside the browser.

Image search lets you simply drag any image into the search engine and, in much the same way that it works on a mobile, will then scan the image and bring up the results.

Voice search on the other hand is fairly self explanatory, simply click on the microphone icon next to the search bar, speak your piece and Google will bring up all the results.

Both these functions are as a result of the huge increase in both image searching and voice searching used by consumers, in fact Google revealed that around 6.2 years worth of speech goes through their system, every year.

Will you be using these new features, or is the keyboard still the king? Let us know what you think on Facebook and Twitter.
