Google launches SearchWiki
Communal searching for serial note makers
Google has gone all web 2.0 on us, offering the option of commenting on its results with the newly-launched SearchWiki.
If you're a logged-in Google user, you can alter regular searches to suit your needs, so if you happen to be looking for gadgets or technology, you can prioritise T3, whilst at the same time removing the also-rans and maybe adding anything Google might have missed. The result? Search perfection, if you're willing to put in the hours.
And that's not all, you can also comment on searches and sites for future reference, with your comments available to anyone who chooses to view all notes for the sites. An early Christmas present for libel lawyers, I'm sure you'll agree. Anyway, if you want to try it out, just log into your Google account and get searching.
