Google offers prizes for moon exploration
Tech company to give $20m to first private company to explore Moon successfully
Google has offered a prize of $20m to the first privately funded company to land a robot on the moon and successfully explore the surface.
According to Google, successfully exploring the surface will entail moving at least 500 meters, and sending high definition video back to Earth.
The company is also offering a prize of $5 million to the second company that achieves the same goal.
Other bonus prizes include travelling more than 5km, finding water, and exploring site where man has been too the moon before, such as the Apollo site.
