Google has pulled the covers off of its new Flight Search function, a new tab which appears when users input a standard Google request for flights from one destination to another.
This new service not only displays a map to show you how you get from A to B, but also flight schedules and cheap prices via a comparative bar chart. You can even tweak your destination, finding out where you can get to from your location depending on your budget. There are also direct links to airline company websites so you can book.
At the moment, this is a US only feature and only lets you search return economy flights within the country. However, it’s very cool and promises to give the likes of Kayak something to seriously ponder. Take a look at the video below to see it in action.
